THX® Certified Select™ Receiver Fills Big Rooms with Sound

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ, May 25, 2017 – Immense power and crystal clear sound define the performance of Onkyo’s new TX-NR777 (MSRP $749 USD / $1,049.99 CAD), a THX-certified network AV receiver that supports 5.2.2 channel Dolby Atmos and DTS:X playback with 220W per channel (6 Ohms, 1kHz, 10% THD, 1 Channel Driven) or 110W/Ch (8 Ohms, 20Hz – 20kHz, 0.08% THD, 2 Channels Driven, FTC). The TX-NR777 is now shipping to retailers nationwide.

Featuring Dynamic Audio Amplification System with 4 ohm speaker driving capability, the TX-NR777 features a 384 kHz/32-bit DAC and VLSC™ filtering for superior audio clarity. The unit maximizes Hi-Res audio formats such as DSD 5.6 MHz/2.8 MHz*1, PCM 192 kHz/24-bit FLAC, WAV, AIFF, and ALAC, and Dolby® TrueHD*2.

AccuEQ Room Acoustic Calibration features AccuReflex technology for phase-matched sound with Dolby Atmos-enabled elevation speakers. Onboard DTS Neural:X™ identifies spatial effects in multichannel soundtracks and up-mixes for convincing 3D playback through your object-audio-ready speaker system. Dolby Surround remixes legacy sound formats for multidimensional playback in a Dolby Atmos environment.

Elevating the object-based audio experience, the TX-NR777 supports 4k/60Hz, Dolby Vision™, HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma), BT.2020 and HDCP 2.2 pass-through for the ultimate in sound and vision. It offers plenty of connectivity options with 7 HDMI® inputs (1 Front*3) / Main Out, and Sub Out*4.

The receiver features Chromecast built-in*5 and DTS Play-Fi®*6 support, and ships with Spotify® Connect for easy streaming with compatible apps. Pandora*7, TIDAL*7, TuneIn*7, and Deezer*7 offer a wide choice of content that is easy to navigate and enjoy from within the free Onkyo Controller app. You can also stream music from your device via AirPlay® or Bluetooth® wireless technology.

The unit also features FireConnect™*8 powered by Blackfire, a multi-room audio technology operating over 5 GHz/2.4 GHz Wi-Fi® that distributes network and connected analog audio sources to supported wireless speakers, such as the Onkyo NCP-302 Wireless Speaker.

With a 5.2-channel layout in the media room, Powered Zone 2A/2B speaker outputs send amplified network, S/PDIF, and analog audio sources to pairs of speakers in other spaces. For 5.2.2 theater layouts, a line output is ideal for transmitting stereo sources available to the receiver to a hi-fi or amp and speakers set up elsewhere in the home.
